Cause Marketing

Cause marketing is a powerful tool to bring together consumers, brands and non-profit organizations. Famous examples include the (RED) campaign for AIDS relief in Africa, Yoplait's pink yogurt tops for breast cancer research and Trees for Troops, a campaign created by Drake & Company for the Christmas Spirit Foundation.

In all three examples, cause marketing brought together brands such as Motorola, Yoplait and FedEx, a cause (AIDS, breast cancer, supporting our military and their families) and consumers. And all three parties benefited. Sales increased, the cause generated funds and awareness and consumers received goods/services while helping a cause they support.
