    Conclave committee discussion

During the NALC and Conclave, many issues will be discussed and voted upon pertaining to the future of Alpha Zeta, including the initiation of freshmen and changes in academic standards. Chancellor Ruszkiewicz summarizes the issues in front of the Conclave.

    Leading from Any Chair
    Student discuss leadership styles.

Chapters looking for meaningful activities should consider Leading from Any Chair. This leadership style workshop is available to chapters at limited expense. The two-hour workshop, presented at the last two National Agricultural Leadership Conferences, examines how to best work with different personality types.

    Collegiate LifeKnowledge

Included in the Fall Packet is a CD and information about Collegiate LifeKnowledge, a professional development curriculum developed by FFA, USDA and other agricultural organizations, including Alpha Zeta. For chapters looking to make an impact on campus: teach other groups how to use the CLK and present it's lessons to other organizations.

North Carolina picks berries for fundraiser

A group of five Alpha Zeta brothers traveled to the mountains of Ashe County, N.C., on August 10 to pick raspberries as part of a research study to find if the mountain climates are suitable for large scale production.

The test requires frequent production measurements, but once completed, the research station has nothing to do with the berries, so non-profit organizations pick the berries to raise money. The chapter sold all the strawberries and raspberries picked and raised $350 dollars.
