    North Carolina illuminates lantern walk
    North Carolina helps with luminaries.

Every year around Halloween, the North Carolina Chapter of Alpha Zeta helps the Oakwood Confederate Cemetery set up for its Lantern Walk.

"Southern agriculture significantly contributed to the Confederate war effort and also sustained damage during the war," Scribe Tori White said. "By volunteering at the cemetery we are paying our tribute to the soldiers that lost their lives in the name of Southern tradition and agriculture.

The chapter made and set up luminaries along a path throughout the two and a half acre cemetery. Skits and re-enactment of civil war life were performed along the path. Proceeds go to restoration of the walkways of the cemetery.
