| Townshend hosts charity pig roast |
 |
|
For the fourth consecutive year, the Townshend
Chapter brought a taste of country life to the city.
On October 19, the chapter hosted a Charity Hog
Roast and silent auction.
A hog roast is a favorite social event for many
rural families, but Ohio State students, faculty and
staff will have the chance to enjoy more than just a
great social opportunity. Through the generous
donations of several local businesses, AZ included a
silent auction at the event, with all proceeds
donated to St. John’s Community Kitchen.

| North Carolina collaborates on rodeo |
 |
|
The NCSU Rodeo Club organized a two-night bull
riding and barrel racing rodeo. Five barrel racers
and 26 bull riders participated at the McLambs Rodeo
Arena in Benson, N.C., for the benefit of the Autism
Society of North Carolina.
The North Carolina Chapter volunteered to sell
food, so we collaborated with the Collegiate FFA to
cook and sell hot dogs, hamburgers, sides, sodas,
hot chocolate and coffee. We also had a donation box
on the table to collect extra money for the Autism
Society.
We were able to help support a fellow NC State
organization, promote agriculture, and raise money
for a good cause all through one event.
