Dear Brian,
Happy Halloween! Registration for the NALC and
Conclave is now online. Also, this Saturday is
Founders' Day and I encourage chapters to recognize
the anniversary in some manner: wear letters or
colors this week or have a get together on Saturday
and sing an AZ song.

On Nov. 4, 1897, the Fraternity of Alpha Zeta was
established at Ohio State University in Columbus,
Ohio. This Saturday AZ celebrates 109 years of
promoting scholarship, leadership, character and
fellowship in agriculture.
You can honor founding members Charles W. Burkett
and John F. Cunningham by showing your spirit --
wear your letters, gather with your fellow
members and toast Alpha Zeta.

Members of the North Carolina Chapter worked the NC
Pork Council Pork Chop Shop during the North
Carolina State Fair Oct. 13-22.
Brothers volunteered time working five hour shifts
serving pork to the public. This was a great way for
our chapter to get involved in promoting agriculture
and a great way to meet people who are involved in
all aspects of agriculture.

The Delaware Chapter adopted a section of trail in
the White Clay Creek State Park, near the University
of Delaware campus. In September, eight members
helped to pick up litter and clear brush from the
trail. It's a monthly project for the chapter.
On Oct. 7, eleven members also participated
in the Agriculture Carnival, a series of games and
competitions promoting the school of agriculture.
Proceeds from the event were donated to AgrAbility,
an organization for disabled farmers.
