Although skeptical, producers assure The Farmer
Wants a Wife will celebrate the rural
lifestyle and promote agriculture. FreMantle Media, the
folks who brought American Idol and
America's Got Talent to television, is
casting nationwide for the network reality show
"matching a farmer with ladies who dream of living a
traditional, small-town lifestyle."

The Garden Writers Association Foundation is
accepting applications for Student Scholarship
Grants for Spring 2007. The deadline for
applications is December 1. If you have any

| Tips for building a successful chapter |
|
|
- Focus time and effort at a event/place/method
where the greatest success is likely.
- Primary motivation for anyone to become a member
is WIIFM (What's in it for me). Define the WIIFM
(recognition, validation, fellowship, etc.) and
promote it.
- Create awareness and interest by delivering on
promises.
- Before pride can exist, the characteristics of
significance, accomplishment and distinction must be
present.

| National Service Project |
|
|
More than 45 members have expressed interest in the
second National Service Project: Gulf Coast Work
Trip Part II. This will mark the second time this
year Alpha Zeta has traveled to hurricane-ravaged
Louisiana. Thirty participants will spend five days
in Vermillion Parish helping farmers and the
community continue the long recovery from last
year's devastating storms.
