The Alpha Zeta Foundation will award five monetary scholarships to outstanding members this year. National Alpha Zeta Scholarship applications are due Feb. 1. There will be awards given in three attendance-based categories: "First Time in a Long Time," "Quality Crew" and "Big Time." Turn in membership applications
Membership applications and payment should be received 10 business days before initiation, or your chapter will be subject to a $5 per application late fee and express shipping charges. If you have outstanding invoices from membership applications (or other charges), they must be paid before certificates and pins will be issued.

Officer reports due
If your chapter is not on the list below mail, fax or e-mail your Officer, Advisor and Calendar Report [ Form #3 ] to the national office. These forms should be submitted within 10 days of an election. Chapters are required to submit Officer Reports to the National Office. [ info@alphazeta.org ]

Livestock Publications Council scholarship
Scholarship applications for the Forrest Bassford Student Award are due Feb. 15. The $1,500 scholarship will be awarded by the Livestock Publications Council at the Ag Media Summit in Portland, Ore., July 23-26. [ More ]

PDHGA Scholarship
Do you have a family member who is a member of the Professional Dairy Heifer Growers Association? If so you are eligible for a $500 scholarship. Students currently enrolled in agriculture or a related field at an accredited college or university may apply. [ More ]

Internship Opportunities
The American Agricultural Editor's Association 2006 magazine internship includes an eight- to 10-week hands-on ag journalism position with a member publication. That publication will be determined by January 2006. The intern will receive a $4,000 stipend and attendance at the Agricultural Media Summit in Portland, Ore., July 23-26, 2006.
