WOW!
What a great NALC and Conclave! From the Chapter Development

hard to top. But, with the help of the Townshend Chapter at Ohio State,
next year's National Agricultural Leadership Conference will be bigger
and better as we take the NALC "Back to the Start of it, Right in the
Heart of it!" next March 27-29, in Columbus, Ohio.

Cheap food draws crowd
Morrow Chapter hosted AgDay lunch for University of Illinois students
More
than 400 students, faculty and guests waited in line in cold and windy
conditions last Wednesday for a $0.35 hamburger, soda, chips and a soy
cookie.
The meal was part of the World AgDay celebration. It was
held to show non-ag students how little farmers earn on a dollar spent
on food in America. Area commodity groups provided the food, and
several speakers, including the Illinois director of agriculture,
talked about the importance of agriculture in today's economy. This was
the first year for the AgDay meal and the chapter hopes to make it an
annual event. |
