A word of appreciation
Morrill Chapter praised for honoring dean
J. Marcos Fernadez, associate dean for the Penn State College of Agriculture was recently inducted as an associate member. He had this to say about the recognition:

"I was touched by your kind and thoughtful gesture. I'm humbled and have been uplifted by this action of yours, and I'm both grateful and thankful to the chapter. Know that it served as a special encouragement for me personally at an opportune time.  And rest assured that I will prominently display the AZ - Morrill Chapter Associate Member plaque on my office wall in the very near future!"

Dear Brian,
Officer reports are trickling in, along with NALC and Conclave registrations. I expect the spigot to turn on full blast this week! AgCareers.com is putting up cash for chapters to attend the conference. About 200+ AZs are expected. More than 20 companies will be represented at the Career/Internship Fair. It's a great chance to learn more about AZ, get ideas for your chapter and have a good time. Make plans to attend today!

Corrections
The Conclave will vote on membership, officer amendments

Conclave 2005
Links in last week's AZ Leader were incorrect. I apologize for the error.

Bylaw amendments proposed at the Conclave could make second semester Freshmen eligible for membership. Other proposed changes define transfer student eligibility, install term limits for the High Council and limit chapter representation on the board.

Your chapter should send at least one delegate and one alternate to represent the chapter's position on these important issues.

Conclave Agenda | Proposed Amendments

Don't forget to apply for the National Alpha Zeta Scholarships. The application should take less than two hours to complete, and it can be e-mailed.
