Drake & Company hosts career development workshop
CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – College and the working world hold distinct differences and transitioning from academia to a career presents unique challenges to students and young professionals.
Drake & Company and Alpha Zeta are hosting a career development seminar Thursday, Aug. 10, titled “How to Manage the Transition from College to Work,” presented by Eric Spell and Ericka Brandt of AgCareers.com. They will address the differences between college and the business environment and offer practical guidance and tips on working in a team environment, contributing to an organization’s objectives and ensuring a successful first-job experience.
The workshop is targeted to the future of the agriculture industry: young professionals less than three years out of college and interns making the transition from college to work.
The half-day presentation runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Association Headquarters Campus (16020 Swingley Ridge Road, Conference Room A and B) in Chesterfield. Registration is $30 and limited to the first 30 to ensure interaction and discussion.
Participants can register here or click on the “How to Manage the Transition from College to Work” icon.
