DrakeCo opens new branch, celebrates 15th anniversary

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. -- Drake & Company, an accredited association management company, celebrates its 15th anniversary in September by opening a West Coast office based in Phoenix and by hosting 15 Air Force enlisted personnel from Scott Air Force Base during the St. Louis Cardinals game September 6.

Starting with one consulting contract in 1992, Steve Drake has built a full-service association management company that today includes a staff of 20 managing nine national non-profit organizations with more than 125,000 members and budgets exceeding $5 million. The company produces 10 newsletters, one association magazine, and manages nine annual conferences, supports 69 board meetings and 52 committee meetings, supervises one Washington, D.C. representation (lobbying) contract, manages two industry promotion / marketing campaigns, supervises development and day-to-day activities of eight Web sites.

Alan Krob will head DrakeCo’s Phoenix operations. Krob serves as director of corporate relations for the Alpha Zeta Foundation, Country Living Association, Dairy Calf & Heifer Association and National Christmas Tree Association. Krob has over 30 years experience in association management. Before joining DrakeCo, he was President/CEO of the National Association of Credit Managers (NACM), which conducts both for-profit and not-for-profit activities. Krob is a former vice president of member services for the Agricultural Retailers Association and director of member development of the American Soybean Association.

DrakeCo serves as the staff and headquarters for Alpha Zeta Foundation, American Academy on Communication in Healthcare, Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, Country Living Association, Dairy Calf & Heifer Association, Fraternity of Alpha Zeta, MidStates Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association and National Christmas Tree Association as well as the administrative office of the Agricultural Media Summit.
